Camping 101 - HackEx's Most Annoying Technique

There are very few times in life where it pays to be annoying. When it comes to camping however, being annoying isn't too bad. In fact, it often pays real well! In this guide you will learn about camping at it's bare basics, along with how and why it's used in HackEx. I have prepared a step by step process that you can use over and over again without fail. So read on, as I cover an introduction to "HackEx's Most Annoying Technique". (The game developer discusses it here)

This guide assumes you have some familiarity with the HackEx gameplay.

Camping, In a Nutshell

Camping is a common gaming term amongst players in a PVP (player vs player) environment. I personally heard the term first used in the FPS named 'Counter Strike', and was later, surprised to learn how many games have their own slightly modified versions of the strategy. The idea of camping coud be simplified to: Finding a strategic place where you can wait and continuously take advantage of your enemies.

The basic idea of camping in HackEx doesn't really involve much 'strategic positioning', our position will actually be the IP of our targets virtual device.

The Camping Template

Step1. Taking Notes

First things first. To make sure we are ready to start, we need something to write down, or note our target's ip address. You could use the in game notepad, pen and paper, or your head. Whatever you choose, have it easily available when you are 'going camping'.

Step2. Clear your enemies bank

The most important part of the camping process is probably clearing your targets bank. So I'm going to place it as the starting point. If you haven't already got a target in mind, head over to your in game scanner app and start bypassing some IPs. When you have your target, log in to their device and clear all the money in their 'checkings' account. Ideally, you will have a list of 'targets' which you can access one after the other. Continue to access your target devices, (the more the merrier) and clear their banks until they either stop earning money, or upgrade their device.

Step3. To camp, or not to camp?

To make the most out of your time, it is a good idea to be actively making decisions on how profitable your target is. That decision will almost always come down to these two question.

Ask yourself these questions:
  1.  "Is my target earning me as much as others I have access?
  2. "Are my levels high enough to bypass/ crack the upgraded app?
If your answer is no to any of the above questions, go ahead and remove them from your processes list for they probably aren't worth the effort. Don't give up too early though, sometimes you can use your spare *overclocks* to help you take on higher level apps. If you decide you want to camp your target for another round, carry on over to step 4. Otherwise, move on through your target list or find some new IPs to work with.

Step4. Pitching the Tent

This is the part where you become a huge nuisance. The developer purposely makes it hard to restart the bypassing or cracking process. To do this, you are required to delete the outdated process from your list of completed processes. Sadly, when you delete the process, your target's IP address is lost too.To get around this, we will use our super note taking ability to record our target's IP.

Camping HackEx - Unable to access device "Uugh!"

If your target has upgraded their firewall. Remove the ip from your "bypassing processes" and head over to your scanner app. Type the ip address in the top bar, then tap the "Ping" button to check if your target is still at the same address. Simply tap on the result you get and start the bypass process all over again.

Camping HackEx - Login Failed! "Uugh!"If your target has upgraded their password encryptor. Remove their ip from your "cracking processes" and then log back into their virtual device. Make your way to the bank screen and hit the "crack" button to start the process again.

As soon as you've got access to your target's account, head back to step 2 and repeat the process.

When to Camp

When going on hacking sprees, you will go through many different accounts. Most will have little to no money, but the good accounts will have a large sum of bitcoins, just waiting to be stolen. You will find however, that a handful of these 'good' accounts will be constantly earning a large amount of bitcoins. When you find one of these users, you can be assured that it is a good time to set up camp. They will always be accounts with a high reputation / score.

Why It's Good For You

Successfully camping just a handful of these 'good' accounts will carry you through upgrade after upgrade. They will save you hours of logging into low earning accounts. If your target is a good sport, you may even find yourself a well matched opponent.

Why It's Bad For Them

If you get ahead of them in upgrade levels, it can be very easy to put their progress to a complete stop. It is often best to save your overclock points for times like these. Spending your overclocks to speed up processes can help you launch a fast counter attack in the hope to claim back some bitcoins (or dignity).
Prevent this from happening by updating both your firewall and password encryptor regularly.

That's all folks!
