HackEx - Guide to Starting Up

Introduction

Follow this guide for a quick introduction to the HackEx gameplay. All information is given based on my own experience with the game. You will learn the basic strategy of "piggybacking" to get yourself into a good position right from the very beginning.

How this guide works

The guide will be broken up into 3 sections:

1. What to level first
2. Piggybacking
3. Moving into your play style

Each section will have a goal, a process and an explanation.

I will include as many links as I can to offer extended information on mentioned apps and processes. 

What to level first

Your goal

Establish a good defense and a small  income to set you up for your game.

Process

You start off with 2,500btc. Before you do anything head over to your store and purchase:

• Level 2 Bypasser

Tip: Although you can afford to buy a cracker, fight the urge and save your money. Users at a low level will almost always have no money, or very little in their withdrawable account. This makes cracking not so profitable to start off with.

Explanation

Hacking a user's firewall gives you access to their apps. A higher level bypasser allows you to hack higher level firewalls and decreases the time to hack lower level ones. At this level you are guaranteed to find a user who has at least one of the apps your missing. This will set you up for 'piggybacking' (see Downloading Apps - HackEx Wiki) off other users apps.

Piggybacking

Your goal

Hack firewalls and steal apps that you don't have or that are a higher level than the one's you own.

Process

Step1. Scan

Find the app on your main screen that looks like the image to your right. Click on it and start loading up your bypassing processes by clicking on your target ip. Bypassing does take time, thankfully at this level its only a matter of a few minutes. When you have loaded 5 - 10 processes, hit your back button to return to the main screen.

Tip: Bypass firewalls that have a level lower than your bypasser to complete the process quicker. 

Step2. Hack

Head over to your processes by clicking on the app image that looks like the one shown on the left. This will show you all of your running processes along with their estimated time of completion. When your bypass completes, tap on the process and tap "Hack". You will see a login screen as you access the hacked users vitual device.

Tip: Not all of your bypasses will be successful, simply tap on the process and tap "Retry".

Step3. Steal Apps

Once in your victim's virtual device. Find the "apps" icon (see image to the right) and tap it to view their installed apps. Download your desired app(s). Do this for every user you have bypassed in your process list. In a matter of minutes you should have a complete set of apps at your disposal.

Repeating steps 1 - 3 will essentially be your low level gaming process until you start making enough to move into your own 'playing style'.

Tip1: As soon as you find a spam app to download, make sure you upload it to every user you hack. This will earn you money in the background for as long as it stays on your victims account.

Tip2: After downloading, uploading and eventually cracking, make sure you visit your victims logs and clear your traces. Removing all traces you were there can help you maintain access to their device for longer.

Explanation

There name "piggyback" is a term I personal use for this process, it is not created by me and is not new. This method works because you use others to buy apps for you. Earning is slow at the lower levels so it is both cheaper and faster to use this way to start up.

Moving into your 'play style'

It shouldn't take long before you are stumbling upon good apps and a little bit of income. By this time, having a decent password encryptor is a good idea to keep your money safe. Depending on what apps you have to work with, you can start moving into a "playing style" and customise your apps to make money the way you want it to.
